We've got some great news for everyone this week. You might have noticed earnings have increased quite a bit as we have increased the publisher rates by a massive 50% for everyone! That's more money in your pocket for the same traffic.
But wait there's more! We've listened to your feedback and decided to add Alertpay as our next payment provider for publishers and advertisers. It should be ready to go on the site within two weeks.
What are you waiting for? Go to it!

Along with the recent success of our new user-friendly advertising portal comes benefits for our users out there earning $$$ for their paid links. We're proud to announce that there will be a 30-50% increase in earning rates, meaning more money in your pocket for less clicks.
As you are probably aware, we've paid out over a MILLION DOLLARS to users for their paid links and expect this number to grow faster than ever due to the increased earning rates.
So, quit wasting time... Start creating and posting links for the masses. Drive some traffic home and get paid more bucks than ever before.

'Linkbucks Blogs' to be Discontinued

The Linkbucks team has voted in favor of shutting down its blog system for several reasons, which will result in a better overall experience for users and publishers alike.
As the web evolves, along with Linkbucks, it has become increasingly difficult to control our on-site user blog system. Abuse has been running more and more rampant (i.e. malware, scams) which makes the staff’s job more difficult. Also, if malware slips through our radar and there are victims to it, our blog system as a whole can be flagged across networks such as Google, which can cause too many problems to list.
On top of that, the blog system is not used that much which means it earns very little. We sincerely apologize to users who are able to be productive with it; however, you are part of a very small minority. The good news is, you can migrate to a newer and more powerful third-party blog system to better serve your needs. "Linkbucks blogs" will remain for 2 more weeks before they're officially discontinued.
Hopefully the blog system has demonstrated how one can make quick and easy money with Linkbucks by simply blogging. The possibilities are still endless, so be creative!
That being said, this move will result in better performance across other parts of Linkbucks.com, allow our staff to be more productive where it matters, and, most importantly, allow the developers to make the site more productive overall.
On that note, we are just about ready to launch our new ad system. This will result in better ads and the way in which they’re displayed across the Linkbucks network. Even better than that, thanks to your feedback, we have devised a user-friendly ad production system which will better serve your advertising needs as a publisher. In other words, our new ad system as a whole will mean a better experience for everyone, hands down!

Making Money With Linkbucks

One of the most frequently asked questions about using Linkbucks is how to make a lot of money. That of course is what everyone wants to be able to do. The idea is to make a lot of money while spending the least amount of your time doing it.
Here are a few tips to helping you along your way.
Top Tier Traffic
The United States is the highest paying tier on the site. Traffic from the US pays the most amount of money and gives you the most "bang for your buck". The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia also pay very high as well. Promoting your links on English speaking websites can make a huge difference in your earnings and its easy!
Viral Marketing
Never underestimate the power of viral marketing. The most amount of money ever made on Linkbucks has been through the use of Facebook. We have had some users make up to $1,000 USD a day just from Facebook fan pages. The trick is to put up a fan page with a special section that requires people to "Like" it before viewing the content you have put up. If you gather a large following of fans, it will easily become viral as wall updates get distributed to everyone’s news feeds. There is a good tutorial on how to create the fan pages in our forums.
Full Page Script
Many of the top earners on the site utilize the full page script. Why spend the time creating hundreds of links when you can simply place a script on your site to automatically convert every link to Linkbucks urls.
We've also recently added a new ad type called the side banner. This works just like the top banner but is located on the side of the page. When we are finished organizing the ad inventory for the side banner, it should start paying more than the top banner.
Don't let other websites fool you. We have the highest pay rates anywhere. While most others pay you on UNIQUE visits, we pay you for up to 20 visits in a single day making your overall earnings much higher.

Linkbucks Performance Update

In an effort to increase performance, we decided to implement a few changes to linkbucks. You may notice a new tab called "Expiring" to the manage links section of the site. This section is for links that have had no activity in 6 months. Now there is some confusion over what this exactly means. You will NOT lose active links.
  • If you have a link that has been visited by at least 1 person in the last 6 months, then it will remain active.
  • If you have a link group and just one of those links have been visited in the last 6 months, then the entire group will remain active.

Expired links will be put into the expiring section of your link page. You will have the opportunity to select anything that is expiring to be saved. Anything that remains in that section for a period of 2 weeks will be eventually deleted from our system.
We estimate that this will prune over 1/3 of all links in our database and vastly improve server performance.
Linkbucks has over 35 million links in our database which takes up a huge amount of space as well as server resources. We're trying to help everyone cleaning up dead links and improving load times of the site.
Lastly, we will be adding additional hardware as well to help with the performance. The additional hardware combined with the cleanup of dead links give us huge improvements now and for the future.

Support Issues and Downtime

We've been experiencing problems with our support ticketing system over the last few weeks. We managed to fix it but lost a few emails in the process.
Rest assured that we will take care all the backlogged support requests this week. This includes any payment requests people have been waiting over a week for as well.
Lastly, there was some downtime caused by some server related issues last week. We'd like to compensate by offering double payout this saturday, the 19th.

Link Cleanup Revised

We've received a lot of feedback about the recent news of cleaning up links on user accounts. There were a lot of mixed reviews about the idea and we have taken them all into consideration.
Our new revised proposal is to cleanup all links on any user account that has not logged into linkbucks within 6 months. We'd like any feedback wether or not this would be acceptable to everyone.

Monthly Link Cleanup

In order to increase performance, we will be inacting a link purge every month which will delete any link not clicked on within 6 months. This will also greatly help users with large profiles that load very slowly due to a large number of links.
More updates soon to come.

Linkbucks was down for a little over an hour today due to server issues. We've corrected all problems and to compensate, we're going to do another double earnings weekend starting on Saturday.
On a side note, there have been some requests for additional alias domains for linkbucks. So we will be adding 6 more domains tomorrow.
